Club Deportivo La Equidad Seguros is embarking on a new chapter with ScoutDecision. Founded in 1982 and based in Bogotá, La Equidad has consistently competed at the highest levels of Colombian football, winning the Copa Colombia in 2008 and frequently participating in international tournaments like the Copa Sudamericana. In early 2025, La Equidad underwent a major transformation with a change in ownership. An American investment group led by Al Tylis and Sam Porter acquired a majority stake in the club. Among the investors are Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who have already demonstrated their ability to rejuvenate football clubs through their successful ownership of Wrexham A.F.C. The new La Equidad ownership aims to implement a similar vision by reinforcing the club’s foundations and strengthening its competitive edge, both domestically and internationally.
